Remember when you first got sick? You became aware of every symptom. Maybe you Googled possible diagnoses. You made an appointment with a doctor. They may have believed you and validated your concerns. They may not have believed you. They may have blamed it on you: get more sleep, exercise, take vitamins, drink water. Either way, you learned to advocate for yourself. Make them believe you. Help them see. Sometimes, you get a diagnosis. Maybe you “got lucky” with a treatment. And sometimes, you get better.

But NO ONE prepared you for:

  • the toll it would take on your mental health

  • the physical limitations you’d have

  • the side effects of treatments

  • the grief of what you thought your life would look like

This is why Chronic Illness Coaching is so needed and valuable. There may be a long list of things you weren’t (aren’t) prepared for, and no one taught you how to cope, grieve, and heal.

You deserve the best of what life has to offer. Working with a coach can look different, but we all have this in common: Coaches want to help you face that insurmountable mountain in front of you. We want you to see a way through a challenge and have the tools you need to be successful (whatever that looks like to you).
